Material Handling Conveyors
High angle
material handling conveyors are used in Resources Gold Plant Facilities to
maximize vertical transport over the shortest horizontal floor travel,
optimizing plant footprint. These “Snake Conveyors” feature all nylon multi-ply
belting continuously supported by closely spaced troughing idlers. The
combination handles the bulk material gently, from the sandwich entrance to the
discharge of the material handling conveyors.
Conveyor
drives are provided at both the top and bottom belts. Driving both belts
facilitates better belt alignment, tension control and a cleaner operation.
Automatic hydraulic take-ups are also used. The combination optimizes tension
control, which is critical for a predictable induced radial hugging pressure
over the travel of the conveyor.
