+ How much does a Modular Gold Plant cost?
Modular Gold Plant [MGP] pricing is dependent on what process features are needed as well as the specific needs of the project or application and varies accordingly. Basic information regarding mineralogy, test work results and process feasibility is required to define the process route for maximum efficiency and economy.
+ What information do you need from me to quote an MGP?
Resources needs to know what gold extraction process route is required for your application. This will determine the equipment needed and the associated costs. To determine the process route we require information on the following:
• Ore body type and mineralogy. • Metallurgical test work results including gravity amenability, flotation response and / or leach test results.
Also required is information regarding the location of the project, site access, timing for implementation, intended throughput, operational hours and the availability of power and water utilities.
+ Where can I get the information I need to get a quote?
Resources provides pre-feasibility studies, metallurgical studies and bankable feasibility studies to assist our clients at every stage of a potential project. See our Project Evaluations section for information on these studies to determine which is best for your project.
+ How do I know if the MGP will work for my operation?
The best way to determine the viability of using a Modular Gold Plant is to perform an appropriate study. See our Project Evaluations section for information on these studies to determine which is best for your project.
+ Do you provide financing for a MGP?
Resources does not provide financing for projects.
+ How do I get finance for a Modular Gold Plant?
There are many financial institutions that can provide capital for gold mining ventures. In order to secure financing in this way it will be necessary to have performed at minimum a bankable feasibility study.
+ What is the delivery lead time for a MGP?
Delivery lead times are 9 to 12 months depending on order date and workshop load. In certain instances the lead time can be less.
+ What capacity is the MGP?
MGP capacity is 200 to 600 tons per day.
+ Can you build a bigger Modular Gold Plant?
The true modular design of the MGP makes larger capacity impractical due to the size of the process equipment needed in the limited space available. For larger applications we recommend our High Capacity Gold Plants.
+ Can you build a 5tph MGP for small scale mining?
The MGP can be operated at lower tonnage. This is viable in cases where the ore being processed is of a high gold grade.
+ How does the MGP work?
The MGP is a combined enhanced gravity gold recovery plant and flotation recovery process. The gravity stage recovers free gold amenable to gravity separation while the flotation stage focuses on gold recovery from gold associated with sulfides.
+ Is the Modular Gold Plant safe for the environment?
Yes. The MGP is environmentally friendly and does not make use of cyanide to recover gold.
+ Can you use a different gold extraction process with the MGP?
The MGP can be configured to use an alternative process and can make use of other Resources Gold Technology equipment.
+ How many people do you need to operate a MGP?
A minimum of two operators are needed.
+ Does the MGP include crushing?
Crushing does not form part of the MGP design. If the application requires crushing Resources Gold Technology can supply a suitable mobile or fixed crushing and screening plant.
+ Is the Modular Gold Plant mobile?
Yes. The MGP is a fully mobile gold plant.
+ How do you move an MGP?
The MGP is designed to be transported within standard shipping container dimensions. The true modular design allows the MGP to be transported by road, rail, sea or even air freight.
+ What is meant by “true modular” design?
True modular design refers to a system (The MGP) subdivided into smaller parts each self-contained with specific functionality. The modules are identical in dimension for transport yet together form a complete gold processing plant. Each module is a self-contained structure able to interface with adjacent modules.
+ How does the MGP differ from other modular plants?
Often manufacturers or suppliers confuse the term “modular plant” with what is in fact a “skid mounted” plant or a trailer mounted plant. The Resources Modular Gold Plant is a true modular system and does not make use of skids, trailers or equipment with dimensions outside of standard shipping dimensions.
+ How long does it take to assemble the MGP on site?
With foundations in place the Modular Gold Plant can be fully assembled ready to commence production within one week.
+ What do I need to assemble the MGP?
A 20 ton crane is required together with hand tools and a welding kit.
+ What type of foundations does the MGP need?
The MGP requires only simple concrete slab foundations.
+ Do I need special training to operate the Modular Gold Plant?
No. Some knowledge of gold processing is beneficial but the MGP does not require extensive training to operate.
+ Is the MGP automated?
Yes, the Modular Gold Plant is a fully automated gold processing plant.
+ Does the MGP have its own generator for power?
The MGP can be powered by generator or by grid power. Resources can provide a mobile generator if required as an additional order item.
+ How much power does the MGP use?
The MGP together with the ball mill requires 660 kW of power. This may vary depending on equipment configuration for different applications.
+ How much water does the MGP use?
The MGP requires 25 m3/hour of new particle free water. Use of a simple sand bed clarifier for recycling process water can reduce this requirement to less than 5 m3/hour.
+ How much maintenance does the MGP need?
The MGP has been designed to be as maintenance free as possible. Typical production availability is 95% or higher when correctly operated in accordance with the operational and maintenance procedures supplied by Resources Gold Technology.
+ Can the equipment in the Modular Gold Plant be easily accessed for maintenance?
The MGP has been specifically designed to provide maintenance access to all equipment.
+ What spares do you supply for the MGP?
As a standard Resources supplies two years of operational spares with each Modular Gold Plant.
+ What type of warranty do you offer for the MGP?
Resources provides a two year warranty on the MGP and associated process equipment.
+ How much does the MGP cost to operate?
Operational costs can only be estimated once the process route and equipment is known. Typically the MGP costs less to operate than other gold extraction methods.
+ Can the MGP accommodate leaching as well?
Leaching can be added to the MGP process route to supplement the standard design.
+ What happens to the MGP tailings?
Modular Gold Plant tailings can be safely disposed in an appropriate surface fill location or underground as mine backfill.
+ What is the final product of the MGP?
The MGP produces both a high grade gravity concentrate and a flotation concentrate as products.
+ How are MGP products treated further?
High grade gravity concentrates are sold directly or smelted to form “dore” bars. Flotation concentrates can also be sold directly or treated further by specialized leaching. See our Gold Leaching Equipment section for more information.
+ How do I sell the MGP product?
MGP products can be sold to refineries or toll treatment companies.
+ How efficient is the Modular Gold Plant compared to other plants?
The MGP achieves recoveries equal to and in excess of other gold extraction methods.
+ Can the MGP be used for tailings dump treatment?
Yes. The MGP is well suited to tailings dump treatment. An appropriate study can determine the viability of treating such material. See our Project Evaluations section for more information.
+ Is the MGP weatherproof for harsh environments?
Yes. The MGP is designed with a double walled insulated structure to withstand harsh environments and temperature extremes.
+ Does the MGP make a lot of noise?
The MGP insulated structure minimizes noise emissions and provides a quiet working environment.
+ Is the MGP comfortable for operators?
Yes. The Modular Gold Plant is equipped with central HVAC for operator comfort and equipment longevity.
+ Does the MGP include a ball mill?
Yes. The MGP is supplied with a suitable ball mill for the intended duty.
